Membership cancellation

We understand that sometimes situations change and you may need to cancel your membership. We hate to see you go, but understand. If there's something we can do to keep you in the club, please email us to chat before cancelling. There is usually something we can do to help you stay! This article will help you understand what to expect when cancelling and how to cancel your membership.

Cancellations are Immediate

The subscription payment system we use at DTC processes cancellations on the day they are submitted, not the last day of the current subscription period. For example, if you are on a monthly plan that renews on the 15th and you cancel on the 22nd, your membership will be cancelled on the 22nd. The same applies if you cancel your subscription recurring payment plan with your payment provider (PayPal or credit card processor); your membership access is revoked immediately. In other words, don't cancel until you're ready.

DTC Website Access

Once you cancel your membership, you will no longer be able to access any resources within the member dashboard or resource library. You will still be able to login to the website, but all of the features will be locked and you will see a message that your account is no longer active.

Can you continue to use DTC Resources?

It depends. Your membership in the Dollar Teachers Club grants you a license to use DTC resources with permissions to use DTC copyrighted materials as part of your classroom. However, when you are no longer a member, your license to use DTC products is limited by our Continued Product Use License Policy, which varies by product type.

  • DTC Monthly Packs - any monthly pack resources you download prior to cancelling are licensed for continued use, only for you and only in ONE classroom
  • All-Access Library products - All-Access Library products are also available for sale in our store and on TPT, and you can only continue using these products after you cancel your membership by purchasing a Product Use License after cancelling your membership. The license fee is determined by our Member Support team based on your membership length and number of products downloaded, and the fee represents a significantly discounted price vs. the market value. Depending on the length of your membership and number of products downloaded, there may be no fee for this license.
  • Digital Games - any digital games you download prior to cancelling (including those downloaded to your Google Drive, Seesaw or Boom Learning platforms) are licensed for continued use only by purchasing a Product Use License after cancelling your membership. The license fee is determined by our Member Support team based on your membership length and number of products downloaded, and the fee represents a significantly discounted price vs. the market value. Depending on the length of your membership and number of products downloaded, there may be no fee for this license.

In any case, since you will no longer be able to access resources from the DTC member dashboard, you will need to download the products to store locally on your device.

Can I rejoin at a later date?

Of course, we'd love to have you back! If there's a short-term reason why you need to cancel, please reach out to our member support team in advance to see if we can help you stay in the club. We prefer members not to cancel and rejoin multiple times, so we reserve the right to limit former members from rejoining for a period of time. It is important to know: members who rejoin will not have access to monthly packs available from their prior subscription, and will only be eligible for subscription pricing/rates available at the time they rejoin. Over the years as the benefits offered in DTC have grown, so has the monthly fee. Depending on when you joined you may have to rejoin at a much higher subscription price!

Okay, I'm ready to cancel.

Once you submit this Cancellation Request Form, our member support team will process your cancellation, typically within the next business day.
